First and Second Year Badet, Teerex and I had been classmates during first
year. We were from I-Red. Back then, Teerex had his own friends. Gay friends. Kineth and Teerex were friends already, even
though they weren't classmates. Badet and I became friends when we became seatmates. My first impression of her was this know-it-all
noisy girl. Back then she was really the talker. In fact, she is still a talker. Badet saw me as "suplada" and "snobbish"
because I wasn't talkative. I'm talkative, but in a shy way. Anyway, our groupie was formed one lunch time. Teerex decided
to bring along his classmates from 2-Blue for lunch. They were Nieal, Pailer and Kineth. After that, everything is history.
The name
Our groupie has gone through many names, and nothing really ever sticks.
B4 B4
meant "Bayot 4ever". The name was a stupid idea from one of us... I forgot who. Maybe it was I. Maybe not. The point is, B4
was of obvious reference to the then hot Taiwanese band, F4. Meteor Garden was also
in its height of popularity, and since Berna wasn't really much of a mainstay then, we fancied making parodies of the cast.
I felt idiotic. Kineth would be Xi Men, Nieal would be Dao, Pailer was...I dunno...and Marlon was...I also forgot. Kineth
called me (Mara) San Cai [sangkai] because of a misspelled name in a novelty card. We were pretty tight back then. It was
the first day of junior year. Trivia: Qing Her/Xing Ha was Loraine
for some time in 3-Peach. Then we started calling someone else in class by that name. If only I could remember...
Chuva Ek-ek Tribe/ Buru-buru Survivor
was popular at this time when we called ourselves "members of Tribe Chuva Ek-ek" or "members of Tribe Buru-buru". Jay was
the mastermind of the whole thing. Whenever we would have free time after Saturday scouting formations, we'd play Survivor
in school. Jay would be the host and the rest of us would be players. It was fun, if not exhausting!
Unusuality The brainchild of Marlon. Unusuality was coined when we were taking a round trip from school. I distinctly remember
that we were by Basak school when Marlon said I should entitle a semi-true story about our groupie Unusuality. I needed a catchy name and Marlon said what better way to describe us than "unusual" or "weird". Trivia: Unusuality is not a word.
